In March 2021, Independent Boat Builders Incorporated (IBBI), a large purchasing cooperative in the marine industry founded by a group of independent boat builders, honored the ITW Performance Polymers Recreational Marine team with 2nd place for Supplier of the Year, following the Vectorply team who came in 1st place.
During the 2021 purchasing meeting, IBBI celebrated the 6 suppliers out of over 80 with the prestigious award. Suppliers are selected by IBBI members rating in six categories:
- product quality
- customer service
- delivery
- technical service
- accurate invoicing
- warranty administration.
Accepting the award on behalf of ITW Performance Polymers for brands Plexus® and SprayCore®, Recreational Marine Segment Manager James Buchanan replied, “I am extremely proud of our efforts as a team during a very trying year. The ability to stay engaged with the members and distribution partners through this past year with the pandemic has led us to this accomplishment. We have learned to over communicate.” To attain this prestigious award, hard work and relationships could not suffer, even with cancelled tradeshows due to Covid-19.
