- Our first featured product, Devcon Combowear FC (Fast Curing), integrates 3 types of wearing compounds – two bead sizes plus silicone carbide. This unique combination interlocks to form a robust barrier against a variety of abrasive wear. With a functional cure time of just 1.5 hours, users can apply this product and typically resume operations within the same workday. It can even bond to damp surfaces, reducing the need for extensive surface preparation.
- Another standout is Devcon DFense Blok® (FC), also fast curing in just 2 hours. This product offers the same high impact resistance and superior strength as traditional DBlok but enables quicker application and return to service.
Both products come in a convenient 9lb pail, minimizing waste and simplifying measurement. This packaging is ideal for emergency repairs and urgent situations.

This wear coating, along with all of the wear resistant coatings, is applied in the same time-saving, simple manner. The main goal is to have a good surface prep getting to white metal, establishing a uniform mix, so you can apply by hand or trowel. All products have the ability to be smoothed with either an acetone or water, depending on the formulation.

In another case, an inlet cyclone with a pinhole leak in the elbow area of the inlet pipe was repaired using Devcon DFense Blok FC.
