Problem

The foundation of a holding tank began to demonstrate levels of corrosion due to standing water and other environmental factors.  The corrosion was destabilizing the holding tank foundation and needed to be repaired to prevent additional damage.​ The client was looking for a product solution that would provide long-term resistance to moisture, other environmental influences, and potential corrosive chemicals.

Solution

To effectively repair chemical erosion, three Devcon Flexane products were utilized.

• The repair area was cleaned, debris removed, and concrete dried to ensure maximum adhesion.
• Devcon FL-20 Primer & FL-10 Primer were applied to the metal & concrete surfaces, respectively.​

Devcon Flexane 80 Liquid was applied to the holding tank foundation seam to seal the area.
